Fashion Design Camp -With Store Credit and Natural Dyes

I am happy to be hosting a Summer Fashion Design Workshop in North County in July for younger kids. Over the last five years I have taught sustainable Fashion Design classes to students of all ages. I love to share my knowledge from working in the Fashion Design and Merchandising industry since 2002, along with my love of History and Culture Anthropology studies from around the world. During day one of camp Students will create mood boards, and make an array of patches to repair clothing at home. They will learn a brief history of fashion and its impact on the earth. Each student will make a pot holder/ quilted patch to take home or a denim patch and custom designed bag. During day two of camp Students will design accessories. Learn design merchandising and sustainable fashion practices. Each student will make a natural dyed item to take home. During day three of camp Students will begin sewing and creating from a circle skirt, vest, or tank from a block pattern for a doll or for them. Each student will have the option to purchase fabric from quilt in a day during each class
